Tim Brown, MAS is the Product Responsibility Manager for Promotional Products Association International (PPAI). In 2013 he brought his background in supplier relations, sourcing, and vendor compliance to his role at PPAI with the intent of driving member advocacy and communicating product safety issues throughout the industry.
Prior to joining PPAI, Brown worked at Cintas Promotional Products, as the supplier relationship manager where he implemented industry leading supplier management best practices. He has served on the Quality Certification Alliance (QCA) Distributor Advocacy Council, as well as on the board of directors for Tri-State Promotional Products Association (TSPPA) as the 2012 president. He also served as a member of PPAI’s Product Responsibility Action Group (PRAG). Because of his leading efforts in product safety and supply chain best practices, Brown was named one of the 2012 PPB Rising Stars.
Denise Taschereau is CEO and cofounder of Fairware in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she is responsible for business development and product sourcing as well as Fairware’s ethical sourcing and sustainability programs.
The idea to launch Fairware came to Denise when she noticed how difficult it was to source promotional merchandise that reflected the social and environmental priorities of many of the brands and organizations she admired.
Prior to starting Fairware, Denise spent seven years as the director of sustainability and community for Mountain Equipment Co-op, Canada’s largest outdoor retailer. At MEC, she oversaw the national environmental programs, community grant-making and ethical sourcing programs, and wrote the company’s award-winning, first Sustainability Report.Denise is a member of the PPAI (Promotional Products Association International) Green Product Task Force, and a board member of the Green Meeting Industry Council.
