Chuck Fandos spent three
years with Maritz, Inc., one of the largest incentive and promotional product
companies in the world. He left and joined the family restaurant business for a
short while before pursuing his entrepreneurial instincts. He and his wife,
Susie, founded Gateway Promotions in July 1988 with literally one phone line,
desk and filing cabinet. Fandos is the majority owner of GatewayCDI. He is
involved with the Legacy Buying Group (a $130 million buying group composed of
"brother companies" with GatewayCDI). Fandos is actively involved
with many of our largest accounts and keeps a close eye on day-to-day
operations in conjunction with Senior Management.
Russ Childrey joined the CSR industry in 1997 and is currently the Vice President and Director of Business Development for UL Responsible Sourcing, which is a business unit of UL Verification Services. Russ has conducted social compliance audits in over 20 countries and has developed social accountability programs to manage supply chain risk for manufacturers, brands and retailers in the USA and Europe. During his 16 year tenure, Russ has served the firm as an auditor, account manager, client development manager and the Director of Client Services. He is a member of the UL RS Leadership team and is on several strategic working groups. Prior to becoming part of UL, Russ worked at STR, CSCC and for several large multinational firms as a senior manager in finance, systems, marketing and sales.
UL Responsible Sourcing is a thought leader and stakeholder in the CSR industry, with expertise as an independent third party service provider, which conducts workplace compliance assessments related to labor and human rights in 140 countries.
Shamini Peter serves as Axis Promotions, Director of Product Safety and Compliance and has worked with the Axis for 6 years. She oversees the vetting of suppliers, product testing and the logistics of our Company’s large, custom orders. Shamini interfaces directly with Axis Promotions Inc Clients, as needed, throughout the production cycle, including pre and post delivery. She attended The University of Western Australia where she graduated with a Bachelors of Commerce in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Law. After graduation she returned to Malaysia where she worked for a large Australian manufacturer and then joined the family’s freight forwarding business in New York gaining her first, hands on experience in international commerce and logistics. She currently is a member on PPAI’s Product Responsibility Action Group (PRAG).
Larry Whitney has been with Polyconcept North America (PCNA) for over eight years. As Compliance Manager, Larry provides guidance to PCNA’s business units (Leed’s, Bullet, Journal Books & Trimark) on issues related to import and product safety regulations. Larry represents PCNA on QCA’s Board of Directors and serves on QCA’s Compliance committee. He also serves on PPAI’s Product Responsibility Action Group.
Larry has a Certificate in Product Safety Management from the John Cook School of Business at St. Louis University. He is a Certified Supply Chain Professional through APICS, and has spoken on issues related to regulations governing imported products at events held by the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones, PPAI, AAFA, and the University of Pittsburgh Center for Legal Education.
