CPSIA: How To Handle A Recall

This session will guide you through the development of recall policies and procedures.  It will address decisions and essential issues relevant to the requirements of an appropriate recall response.  This course qualifies as an elective under the Product Safety Aware Program.

Moderator:

Seth Barnett is the Government Relations Manager for PPAI, Promotional Products Association International. As a lobbyist for the promotional products and advertising industry, he communicates with federal and state governments to help manage and protect the more than $18.5 billion industry. Seth also tracks new and existing legislation that could affect anyone in the industry. Sethís background is in public administration and grass roots advocacy with special training in legal and legislative affairs. 

 

 

 

Presenters:

Haley Will is an Account Executive for UL Verification Services focusing primarily on the Premiums and Promotional Products industries. Haley supports new and existing UL clients by developing and enhancing their Quality Assurance Programs. Haley also manages ULís relationship with PPAI and serves as a proactive point of contact for members to provide technical expertise in areas of global compliance, industry standards and brand specifications. 

Previously, Haley worked in Client Services as a global account manager focusing on promotional products, toys and childrenís products.  Responsibilities included daily management of domestic and global accounts, review of technical data and test results, and acting as the primary liaison between clients and labs.  Haley has been with UL (formerly STR) since 2009 and holds a Bachelorís degree from Springfield College in Marketing and Business Management.

 

Jennifer Buoniconti is a Client Service Supervisor for UL Consumer Products focusing primarily on the toy and childrenís products industry. Some of her responsibilities include management of domestic and global accounts, product evaluation and quoting, and review of technical data and results. Jennifer acts a technical expert and resource for clients and her team of Client Service Specialists answering technical questions and providing support and guidance through interpretation of standards, rules and regulations. Jennifer has been with UL (formerly STR) since 2008 and holds a Bachelorís degree from Keene State in Psychology.
