SERIES: Partnering for Success
The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) have partnered to develop a three-session webinar series specific to the sales and marketing staff of CVBs, hotels, and related industry partners.

Session I - Best Practices in CVB-Partner Relationships (April 4, 2006)
A panel of CVB and hotel executives presented case studies and best practices from destinations that have created a positive working relationship with area hotels and other partners in a candid discussion of what works and what doesn’t in CVB-Partner relationships.

This webinar will provide an introduction to the Webinar series. It will include a brief history of the special report, the approach, findings and goals of the report along with the next steps. It will also touch on what revenue management includes today compared to what it will look like in the future.


Session II - Building a Successful Revenue Management Culture (July 25, 2006)
This Webinar will address the challenges that exist when trying to incorporate a revenue management culture and position (new or existing) into the organization.


Session III - Developing a Market-Driven Revenue Strategy (August 8, 2006)
A review of what a revenue strategy must consider and include, as well as an overview of the reasons a revenue strategy is necessary. The most common challenges of implementing and executing of the strategy are discussed, along with suggested solutions to overcome them.


Session IV - Results-driven Forecasting: Demand versus Strategic (August 29, 2006)
A review of unconstrained demand along with strategic forecasting and how they differ and why both are important is provided.


Session V - Implementing Winning Inventory and Demand Control Strategies (September 12, 2006)
An assessment of stay controls and the potential impact – both positive and negative – these stay controls may have on the hotel’s revenue.
