(1)What is a webinar?

Webinars are online seminars. This new media platform enables a high level of interaction with the presenter, other attendees, and the content. To host a webinar site, you need a conference room with a screen, high speed internet access, and computer speakers . To join as a single participant, you just need access to high speed internet and a computer with functioning speakers.

(2) What equipment do I need in order to participate in the online assembly?

You should have one computer with a high-speed internet connection to view the visuals/video and functioning computer speakers to listen to the meeting. 

(3) How can I be sure that my computer is compatible with the online meeting technology?

Before the online meeting begins, you should test the computer you plan to use.  (Once you have tested your computer, it is not necessary to do so again if you plan to use the same computer to log into all future meetings.)

To test your computer, direct your web browser to the following link (or copy and paste the link directly into your web browser): http://www.myeventpartner.com/system_test

You should see a green dot and a message that reads “You have passed the system test!”  Continue on to the audio portion of the test by scrolling down and clicking on "Click here to test." 

In addition to taking the test above, it is recommended that you check your computer settings and make the following changes in preparation for this event:

  • Disable any pop-up blockers.
     
    Set internet and cookies security to low.

Set screen resolution to 1024 x 768 or higher. 

(4) How do I get handout materials?

The confirmation and reminder emails you receive after registering will contain a link to any materials provided by the presenters.

(5) What if I miss the live meeting?

Each session that is broadcast online will be recorded and made available for pruchase and viewing after the event. Particpants who purchased the live event, but were unable to attend will be provided with one free viewing of the archive. 

(6) How can I get technical support?
