Utilizing ANSI B.11 for Machine Safeguarding Risk Assessment: Achieving Acceptable Risk
ANSI B11.TR3 provides protocol for performing machine safeguarding risk assessments.  B11.TR3 explains that zero risk is unattainable.  ANSI B11-2008 provides guidance on achieving acceptable risk.  This session outlines how to perform a risk assessment and achieve acceptable risk by utilizing ANSI B11.TR3 and B11-2008. Attendees will apply the standards and perform an actual risk assessment through a real world case study.

Upon completion the of this course, attendees will:
  • Identify types of machine hazards
  • Utilize ANSI B.11 "hands-on" approach to identify and correct machine hazards through quantitative scoring system to prioritize corrective actions and achieve acceptable risk
