May 19, 2010 at 12:00 PM EDT, 11:00 AM CDT, 10:00 AM MDT, 9:00 AM PDT
(90 minutes)
In this session we will describe what we've learned about distracted driving from the analysis of video from more than 15,000,000 risky driving incidents. We'll take you into the cab to view collisions as well as near collisions that were caused by distracted driving. We'll also share strategies deployed by our clients to combat inattentive driving. Following the session attendees will also have access to a collection of videos they can use to educate their workforce on the hazards of distracted driving.
This virtual class will take place on Wednesday, May 19th from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM central time.
Del Lisk serves as vice president of safety services for DriveCam Inc. In this role, he is responsible for developing safety policy and procedures and overseeing training for DriveCam's fleet customers. His duties include client program development, working with government agencies and directing the DriveCam Academy.
Prior to joining DriveCam, Lisk spent 21 years with Smith System Driver Improvement Institute, a leader in professional driver training. While at Smith, he built the company from three employees delivering less than 100 training sessions each year to more than 100 employees delivering over 6,000 training sessions each year; from a small domestic business to one that delivers training in over 50 countries; and from providing training to a clientele of a few fleet operations to providing extensive driver training at most of America's largest fleets, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, Johnson & Johnson, Exxon/Mobil, Chevron, Roadway Express, Penske Logistics and the U.S. State Department.
