Corrie completed the degrees, Bachelors and Honours in Industrial Psychology, Honours (Business) an MBA (Risk Management) and a postgraduate Diploma in Education.
He worked in the resources industry for 10 years as a senior executive for a large corporation (Billiton) and then founded SAFEmap International in 1992. He became a leading consultant in Australia and moved to Vancouver Canada in 2005.
He consults to major companies globally, including Boeing, Goldcorp, Umicore, Edison Southern California, Intergen, Rio Tinto Iron Ore, Anglo American, BHPBilliton and many more.
The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) selected Corrie as the Mine Safety Professional recently for 2013.
