Speaker Information

Peggy Ross: Peggy has worked in the occupational safety and health field for 25 years. Peggy joined Baxter in 2002. In her role as an EHS manager for Baxter Corporate Occupational Safety and Health, Peggy's focus is on safety, ergonomics, non-regulated fleet and case management. She actively participates on the ANSI /ASSE Z15 Committee for Safe Practices Motor Vehicle Operations and on the ASSE Standards Development Committee. Peggy has presented at various national conferences and has been published in Professional Safety and the AAOHN Journal on a variety of topics. She is board certified in safety as a CSP (certified safety professional), ergonomics as a CPE (certified professional ergonomist) and in occupational health as a COHN-S/CM (certified occupational health nurse specialist/case manager).
Bill Hinderks, CSP, CPCU, ARM-P, ALC: Bill is a senior loss control specialist with Artex Risk Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Company. Hinderks has spent most of his 30-year career providing risk control consulting services to an array of industries and governmental entities, including a decade in a variety of management roles. Prior to joining Artex in August of 2009, Bill spent nine years as the Director of Loss Prevention with Risk & Insurance Management Company of Bloomington, Illinois and over 20 years with St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company. He is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), and currently serves as Chair of the ANSI/ASSE 15.1-2012 national standard (Safe Practices for Motor Vehicle Operations). He also has served on the board of directors of the Mid-Illinois Chapter of RIMS (Risk & Insurance Management Society). Bill holds a B.A in chemistry from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Don Cooper   Don has a 40 year career in the safety and health field, and is currently Safety and Environmental Health Manager for State Farm Insurance.   He is a professional member of ASSE, past officer of the Central Illinois Chapter, and member of the ANSI/ASSE Z-15 committee.  Don also serves as an adjunct instructor in the Illinois State University Safety program.  He holds the CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter), and ARM (Associate in Risk Management) designations.   He has a B.A. in Physics and MBA, both from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
