The Nursing Quality Network: Your Headquarters
for Resources to Improve Quality Measures

The ANA’s National Center for Nursing Quality (NCNQ) has created the Nursing Quality Network, an online hub of collaborative learning among nurses working together to improve the quality of patient care and outcomes.

The Network builds on the Center’s successful NDNQI database which measures nursing quality in one third of the hospitals nationwide, and allows hospitals to benchmark nursing performance against each other.

Offering Tools to Fine-tune Quality Measurement and Reach Quality Improvement Goals

Learning Voyages
Learning Voyages are structured, collaborative learning activities that occur over time, incorporating participants’ experiences into the learning activities.

  • Teams from several hospitals come together to share their goals, develop plans, and achieve results.
  • Expert faculty guides the Learning Voyage, while active learning also occurs within and between teams.
  • Teams learn from the experiences of the others in meeting and addressing challenges.

Webinars
The Nursing Quality Network’s webinars series brings the latest knowledge and successful practices right to you and your colleagues’ desktops.  Speakers are national experts in their fields or nursing leaders from NDNQI participating hospitals who have achieved considerable success in improving their nursing quality performance.
ANA offers continuing education contact hours for these webinars.  Any number of nurses viewing the webinar at a single site are eligible to receive contact hours for this activity, upon completion of the online evaluation and verification of their attendance at the webinar.

Forums
The forums are small, teleconference-based discussions which bring together nurse leaders who learn from each other’s experiences related to quality improvement.

These events are highly collaborative and limited to 30 people, all of whom come to the discussion eager to share and discuss successes and challenges.
